IMS
Intramuscular stimulation treats muscle that has shortened and stayed that way. A very fine needle is placed into the tight band itself — the knot you can feel — and the muscle answers with a brief twitch and then releases.
It is not the same as massage, and it is not acupuncture. IMS goes after one specific thing: banded, irritable muscle that keeps pulling on a joint and will not settle with stretching alone.
Sessions are targeted and short. Expect a deep ache during, and the kind of soreness you would get from a hard set for a day afterwards.
We assess which muscles are involved and what movement they are limiting. Bring shorts or loose clothing.
Fine needles into the banded tissue. A cramping ache, then release. Sessions run about thirty minutes.
Soreness for up to a day is normal and expected. Water, warmth, and gentle movement.
